Egyptian Museum of Turin

In the virtual tour for kids the customer needed an engaging product that would increase user engagement. A product with a strong graphic identity, which can also be used as a coordinated image also within the information materials already produced by the Museum. With regard to the game, the aim was to replicate the amazement that arises in children from the comparison of archaeological finds with equivalent contemporary objects.

OUTPUT

We proposed to the Egyptian Museum a graphic adventure developed in HTML5 / Javascript and a protagonist, Aida, a young archaeologist able to take us back in time to experience the emotions and atmospheres of the village of Deir el-Medina. The characters of the game are the protagonists of the motion graphics that introduce and complete the virtual tour by integrating with the video contributions, quizzes and gamification interactions inserted with the 3dVista software.
No items found.
Game design
Return to Deir el-Medina is a graphic adventure with a gameplay of about ten minutes developed for target children. The goal is to help the protagonist Aida to "return to the present" by looking for and exchanging special items with real characters. The dynamics are point and click and the game also works on mobile.
Web & Interaction
The virtual tour was developed with the 3d Vista software starting from previous materials developed internally by the museum. The virtual tour includes programming logic, quizzes and interactive dynamics to increase the involvement of children. Also from the tour it is possible to launch the video game in the window.
